Overview

All American Hearing has an exciting opportunity available for a Insurance Credentialing Specialist to join our insurance billing department in Dripping Springs, TX!

 

The Insurance Credentialing Specialist collects and verifies sensitive provider data through confidential sources and maintains credentialing databases.  Processes applications and ensures completeness, accuracy and compliancy with established regulations and guidelines.  Continually evaluates the effectiveness of procedures and controls to maximize productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Collects credentialing data and processes applications
    • Analyze data and audits files for completed information upon submission and requests missing data from providers
  • Verifies and validates information including education, insurance and licensure content.
  • Coordinate credentialing and re-credentialing activities of providers according to program policy
    • Regularly audit records and request updates from providers
  • Maintains and updates credentialing databases and reporting for office facilities and hearing professionals
  • Assists in auditing delegated credentialing functions in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations
  • Make recommendations for process improvements and maintain process documentation
  • Verify licensing and CEU
  • Manage and implementation of reference tools

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Health Care or Business Administration preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years working in a managed care or medical office environment is required
  • Proficient with Windows 7, MS Office applications such as Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Oracle
  • Experience with credentialing software is desirable
